THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We are doing (very silly) dances of celebration over here at Oneshi Press HQ, and sending each and every one of you our utmost gratitude!

Now that the printing and distribution of the book are covered, each and every dollar of funding that we get will be divided amongst the amazing, talented, inspired, inspiring creators whose work appears in this book. We're paying out creator bonuses to every creative team!

So go ahead, tell your friends, family, fans, and followers about DESTINATIONS! Let's get these creators the biggest bonuses we can!

In the meantime, stay tuned for more announcements, cross-promotions, interviews with the creators, and so much more!

You ROCK!

SLICE OF LIFE

When gritty anime protagonist, Lady Vengeance, is brought to the real world by a super fan, she'll learn there's more to life than darkness and revenge...and she'll find love with the super fan's twin sister—a kind-hearted cheerleader.

Slice of Life is a queer romance that deconstructs the "slice of life" genre, unpacking the importance of everyday narratives to tell a larger story about the meaning of life from the point of view of a fictional character.

Meet Kaytee Brown, Creator of "Nimue"
about 2 years ago – Fri, Nov 18, 2022 at 09:02:36 PM

Hello again, DESTINATIONS seeker!

We are always thrilled to speak to one of the creators whose work appears in the DESTINATIONS Anthology, and this week we're doubly thrilled to share with you a fabulous interview with…

 Kaytee Brown

Kaytee Brown (she/her) is a Seattle-based artist, colorist, and writer. She is the creator of “Nimue,” a short comic set in an alternative Arthurian legend, where Excalibur’s fate is changed…by a sandwich. It will appear in the Destinations Anthology.

In addition to the Destinations Anthology, Kaytee has pieces appearing in the anthology Sharp Wit and the Company of Women from Extra Pages Press as well as Under the Stars: A Sci-Fi Romance Anthology. She is the colorist for the ongoing Kickstarter series Ruination from Curious Perspective Comics and has recently joined the team for the latest Boston Metaphysical Society series by Madeleine Holly-Rosing. Currently, Kaytee is working on getting more of her own stories and comics into the world. She is expanding the pitch of her Destinations story—”Nimue”—into a serialized comic for kids and parents alike.

Here's a tidbit from our long-form interview with Kaytee:

What kinds of things do you draw creative inspiration from?

To be perfectly honest, the reason it’s taken me so long to finish this interview is because I have been hung up on this question. I don’t so much seek out inspiration so much as it slaps me in the face when I’m supposed to be thinking about something else. I think when you spend your day creating, it opens your mind to getting creative input from anywhere and anything—kind of like exercising a muscle, but the muscle is…imagination?

We'll be posting more interviews with our creators soon, so stay tuned!

Safe & swift,

We just planted 111 trees…and we'll plant more soon!
about 2 years ago – Tue, Nov 15, 2022 at 12:43:04 AM

Hi, Destinations backer!

We're feeling really proud of ourselves right now, and we want to share it with you.

We just planted 111 trees.

Seriously, we got a certificate!

BAM! Certificate!

Each one of those trees is dedicated to a backer on our last Kickstarter campaign—Mr. Guy: Zombie Hunter - Acts 1 & 2!

And now, we're looking forward to planting 94 trees…one for every one of you! (Plus many more, by the end of the DESTINATIONS campaign!)

It's all through our official partnership with One Tree Planted, an organization that plants trees all over the world, wherever they're needed, to combat climate change, restore ecosystems, and make a better world for all of us.

Since we teamed up with them earlier this year, we've planted 302 trees together. And we hope to plant 500 by the end of 2022! You can learn more at our personal donation page!

If you've already backed, then your tree is already guaranteed. If you haven't go ahead and back the campaign! No matter what level you pledge at, we'll plant a tree for you. Promise!
