Hey there, DESTINATIONS seeker!
Our contributors to the DESTINATIONS Anthology are amazing. As we've mentioned, we've been interviewing them about their work.
But one creator, David Lee Andrews of Comic Book and Movie Reviews, took things one step further. Or maybe…one step less far?
He interviewed himself about his short comic, "Sharon"! And the results are hilarious.
Here's a taste of the interview:
How would you describe your story?
I would normally describe my story with the use of words, but as I'm a silly sod, I think it would be best to describe it with emojis instead. These emojis... 🌴💂⚔😠🍼🤣.
OUR HERO, Tomathan, survives as a 'Peeter' -- a thief who steals bags off moving carriages. When Tomathan and his crew of orphaned 'lost boys' pilfer a bag from the royal doctor and find a real live fairy inside -- Tomathan refuses to give the creature back to the cruel man -- making him the target of every Thief-Taker and soldier in London. Can Tomathan and his crew of street rats outsmart the corrupt Thief-Takerand evade the King's soldiers long enough to escape to theNeverland?
Meet Andrii Ostapenko, Writer of "Shortcut"

Hey there, DESTINATIONS seeker!
Not to brag or anything, but we think the creators behind DESTINATIONS are brilliant, talented, fascinating, and inspiring.
We love getting to know them better, and we thought that our backers would, too.
So, we're pleased to introduce…
Andrii Ostapenko
Andrii Ostapenko (he/him) is a traveler and aspiring writer from Ukraine, dealing with war and whatnot for the moment. Usually when no war is happening, he seeks stories outside and on paper, trying to explore as much as he can from life, both real and imaginary.
Andrii is the writer of “Shortcut,“ a short comic exploring the responsibility in magic. It appears in the Destinations Anthology with art by Kamilla Sims.
“Shortcut” is all about the responsibility that comes with great magical power. If you had unlimited magic, what would you do with it?
I’d travel and have fun, testing myself and my magical prowess, helping and entertaining people, performing beautiful illusions and telling stories through magical effects, harmlessly pranking people—being like Gandalf in a way but without beard and smoking habits.
But now, living in wartime, I know that I’d use those powers in other more specific ways, too. Magical fields to stop rockets or send them backward, healing powers to grow limbs and save lives, and some destructive magic to stop the enemy from hurting those around you.
Andrii gave a ton of insightful, beautiful, and thoughtful answers to our questions in a long-form interview that's live now on our blog.
Just what is The Game? That's the question that's rocking Eli Tanner. It's also a question that's hard to answer without giving too much away. And if you've read White Ash or Glarien, you know half the fun of the series is finding out the next big reveal. So rather than tease anymore we're just going to let you dive right in and let you read the first 10 pages of The Game. Right now.
It’s been a long journey, full of hardships and joys, grueling work and quiet moments. Now, we’ve finally arrived.

In the meantime, we wanted to share the video from yesterday's live-streamed launch party with you! During the party on Twitch, we had a ton of fun showing off the campaign and video to viewers, and chat live with fans of the anthology.
